In this collection the vouchers of the first Estonian professional mycologists, Feodor Bucholtz and Elmar Emil Leppik (until 1950. Elmar Lepik) are kept. The specimens reflect the mycological investigations done before 1944.

The specimens are in paper envelopes or formed with dried substrate plant as herbar sheets on paper
Since Elmar Leppik was responsible for collecting or acquiring specimens until 1944, the collection is named after him.
- About 100 research papers and almost 300 booklets on plant protection have been completed on the basis of this herbarium material (mainly up to 1943).
The exciccatae Taimehaiguste kogu Eestis I (1924, A. Käsebier) and Fungi Estonici Exsiccati I–VI (1931–1942, E. Leppiku) were issued.
