Main organizer of expeditions. Expeditions in Europe (Białowieża, Komi- and Nenets regions, Transcarpathia, Caucasus) and in Asia (Siberia: Altai and Sayan mountains, Yakutia; Russian Far-East: Primorye, Amur and Khabarovsk regions, Kamchatka, Sakhalin, Kuril islands; Central Asia: Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan; India).

Collected mainly agarics, >20 000 specimens in total, from these 13 500 from Estonia. Described 40 species.
